Part time/full time position in a private office available for an medical authorization coordinator with knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare and other payer requirements and systems.
Proficiency in the following areas preferred:
Customer service skills for interacting with medical groups to obtain authorizations as required for procedures.
Competent use of computer systems and software. Proficient in medical terminology and familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 Coding; the mechanics of HMO's, IPS's and PPO's.
Ability to multi-task and work independently.
Ability to work well in a team environment. Being able to triage priorities, delegate tasks if needed and handle conflict in a reasonable fashion.
Computer skills and effective communication skills a must.
Not a remote position.
