Medical Records Specialist - Home Health Albuquerque, NM ( Job Type Full-time Description Klarus Home Health / Jet Health, Incis seeking a detail-oriented and organizedMedical Records Specialistto join our team. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of our patients' medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and home health guidelines in ourAlbuquerque, NMhome health office. Primary responsibility is timely and accurate processing of physician orders and medical records. Facilitate acquisition of Physician Face to Face documentation upon patient admission to agency and provide communication to agency Administrator. Requirements Essential Function: + Processing and tracking of Physicians orders, follow up phone calls to physician offices to obtain signatures. Works closely with the Administrator and Sales Team. + Facilitates communications with physicians and facilities to obtain Face to Face documentation following admission to home health. + Reviews F2F documentation to ensure documentation contains all required elements. + Notifies the agency Administrator of outstanding F2F on day 20 following admission to home health. + Verifies receipt of all required documents, such as Notice of Medicare Non-Coverage and Consent for treatment. + Confirms that all required signed documents are received. + Verification of fax and follow up on unsuccessful faxes. + Completes demographic change request in the EMR. + Promotes the agency philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to patients, families, physicians and community agencies. + Demonstrates commitment, professional growth and competency. + Provides effective communication to patient / family, team members and other health care professionals and maintains confidentiality. + Performs other duties as assigned.
